Webb who formerly resided at 928 Rugby Rd. died on May 6th., in a local nursing home after a long illness. She was April 3, 1889, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of Mark Willard and Margaret Jane (Riddle) Miller. In 1912 she was married to Robert Henning Webb, who was Professor of Greek at the University from 1912 until shortly before his death in 1952. Mrs. Webb had been a member of St. Paul’s Memorial Episcopal Church and had been active in volunteer work at the University Hospital. An avid gardner, she had been a longtime member and one time president of the Albemarle Garden Club. She is survived by a son, Dr. Joseph P. Webb of Central Lake, Mich., by four grandchildren and by four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk.
