Weaver SUFFOLK - Mrs. Mary Jane Boyce Weaver, 83, of Route 4, died Sunday at 7:55 p.m. in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Chowan County, N.C., she was the widow of Joshua M. Weaver and a daughter of Noah Jacob and Mrs. Sarah Martha Twine Boyce. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and its Sadie Whitley Bible Class. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Pattie W. Parker of Windsor, Mrs. Alice W. Kent and Mrs. J.D. Lankford of Nansemond, and Mrs. Edward A. Briggs of Chesapeake; three sons, Joseph E. (Joe Buck) Weaver of Suffolk, and Henry C. Weaver and Ernest C. Weaver of Nansemond; four sisters, Mrs. Artelia B. Goodwin of Chuckatuck, Mrs. Mattie B. Fowler, Mrs. Leonard Carr and Mrs. Bainer Delk of Nansemond; a brother, Streight E. Boyce of Nansemond; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Moore. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
