All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY FRANCES RUSSELL RABEY WOOSTER Mrs. Mary Rabey Wooster Suffolk, May 7. - Mrs. Mary Rabey Wooster, 65, of 141 Madison Avenue, died Tuesday at 11 p.m., at the Louise Obici Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of F.C. [sic; J.F.] Wooster and daughter of the late Frank and Mary Russell, of Nansemond County. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Wiggins, of Whaleyville; and Mrs. Holmes Blanton, of Suffolk; a son, Willie T. Rabey, of Suffolk; two brothers, John Russell and Paul Russell, of Whaleyville; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. Earl T. Farrell. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Held For Mrs. Mary Wooster Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rabey Wooster, who died Tuesday night at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the I.O. Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. Earl T. Farrell officiating. Mrs. Dudley Joyner and Mrs. Emmett Stancell, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Webb Pinner, Jr., sang "Does Jesus Care?' and "Beyond the Sunset." The Rev. Brittle read Tennyson's poem "Crossing the Bar." The pall was of red roses, Easter lilies, white canations and baby's breath. Pallbearers were Joe Horton, Claude Jones, Albert Woodall, Calvin Benton, J.C. Dees, Alvin Horne, H.U. Smith and J.P. Lewis. Burial followed in the Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.
