Rites Thursday For Ekron Davis White 

  Funeral services for Ekron Davis White, Sr., who died yesterday morning at 
his home on the Holand Road will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30, at 
the I.O. Hill and Company Funeral Home by Rev. R.E. Brittle and Rev. L.L. 
McGee.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

b. 9 Feb 1879, Chowan Co., NC, d. 21 Sep 1954, Suffolk, 
interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery (Block D, Lot 114*), Suffolk, 23 Sep 1954, 
"Suffolk (VA) News-Herald," Vol. 32, No. 224, Wed., Sep. 22, 1954, p. 1

His parents, Jordan W. & Virginia Frances (WILLIAMS) WHITE, are buried in 
   the Jordan W. WHITE family cemetery, Chowan Co., NC. 

His father (1836 - 1909) was a Confederate veteran, having served as a 
   private in the 3rd Battalion, NC Light Artillery, Co. B.
