Mrs. Isabel White Dead at 85 

  Mrs. Isabel Copeland White, 85, a resident of the Virginia Apartments on 
Bank Street, died at 7:15 a.m. today at Obici Memorial Hospital after a long 
illness. 

  A native of Rich Square, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John Oliver 
Copeland and Mrs. Lydia Edwards Copeland and the widow of John Samuel White. 

  She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church. 

  Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. W. Henry Johnson of Suffolk; one son, L.W. 
White of Barstow, Calif.; and two grandchildren. 

  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the R.W. Baker 
and Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. R. Harris Kesler, pastor of Main Street 
Methodist Church.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
