Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. Charles Shumaker. Pallbearers were: J.C. Copeland Jr., Henry Copeland, Boyce Copeland, John S. Copeland, Harold Copeland, and William Billups. Mrs. Wyatt died in a Petersburg (hospital) after an illness. She was a native of Nansemond County. She is survived by her husband, Alonzo P. Wyatt. She was the daughter of the late Bud and Effie Copeland of Nansemond. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Shirley Neal of Kenbridge, Garnett Neal of Crewe, and Wayne Neal of Victoria; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Billups of Ivor and Mrs. Berta Duke of Carrsville; four brothers, S.E. Copeland of Waverly, J.J. Copeland of Newport News, G.S. Copeland of Windsor and J.C. Copeland Sr. of Franklin; five stepsons, Carl Wyatt of Norfolk, William Wyatt of Baltimore, Earl Wyatt of Portsmouth and Allen and Kenneth Wyatt of Virginia Beach; and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Clifford Cottrell of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; 13 step- grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
