A native of Nansemond County he was a son of J.I. and Mrs. Polly Holland Wyatt, the husband of Evelina Holland Wyatt. He was a member of Oxford Methodist Church and its Men’s Bible Class, a retired railroad conductor, and a member of Order of Railway Conductors and Brakeman. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. W.S. Dameron of Richmond; a son Alonza Woodrow Wyatt of Newport News; a sister, Mrs. Norman Butler of Nansemond County; two brothers, Elisha Wyatt of Suffolk and Alonza Wyatt of Kenbridge; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. J.C. Weaver and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
