JOHNNIE N. WHEDBEE

TO BURY SOLDIER ON HOME SOIL

   Suffolk, Va., Jan. 11 - The funeral of Sergeant Johnnie N. Whedbee, formerly 
of Suffolk, who was wounded in action October 8, and died October 12, 1918, in 
France, will be held at the grave in Arlington, January 12, at 12:30 o’clock.

   The brothers and sisters of the soldier will be present, and several comrades 
are expected to be present.


Sergeant Johnnie N. WHEDBEE, 116th Infantry, U.S. Army, 
b. Apr 1895, NC, WIA 8 Oct 1918, d. 12 Oct 1918, France, 
interred in Arlington National Cemetery*, 12 Jan 1922, 
donated obit, newspaper unknown, dateline Jan. 11, 1922

His parents, Richard H. & Julia H. (HOWELL) WHEDBEE, are buried
