JOHN E. WELLS 

  CARROLLTON - John E. Wells, 65, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in his home after 
a heart attack. 

  A native of Burlington, N.J., he was the husband of Mrs. Nevada Sparrow 
Wells and a son of Richard and Mrs. Diane Wharton Wells. 

  Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Miss Jennie Wells and Miss 
Mellie Wells of Carrollton; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Tundon of Salem, N.J., 
Mrs. Daisy Mullins of Penns Grove, N.J., and Mrs. Minnie Raleigh of Toledo, 
Ohio; and two brothers, James Wells of Bel Air, Md., and Willie Wells of 
Kimbelton, Pa. 

  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral 
Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
