Willis, 94, Dies in Hospital; Rites Tomorrow Funeral services for James Parker Willis will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. R.E. Brittle, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church and the Rev. Dr. George D. Alley, pastor of Suffolk Christian Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Willis, 94, of White Marsh Road, Route 2, retired farmer and butcher, died yesterday at 1:15 p.m. in Obici Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. A lifelong resident of Nansemond County, his parents were Harrison and Mollie Willis. His wife was the late Mary Frances Budd Willis. He was a member of Woodmen of the World more than 50 years. Survivors include a son, James H. Willis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. A.C. Harrell, and a stepson, James Thomas Johnson, all of White Marsh Road; 15 grandchilden; 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren. His father was a Confederate veteran - of sorts. He enlisted May 5, 1862 in Suffolk as a private in Co. A, 14th VA Infantry, but deserted the next day.
