Willis, of Nansemond county, died yesterday at 11 o'clock at her home on the White Marsh road, after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, two sons, James H. Willis, of Nansemond county, and J.A. Johnson, of Baltimore, two daughters, Mrs. C.F. Fowler, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Archie Harrell, of the county, one brother, J.L. Johnson, of Baltimore, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at the residence this afternoon conducted by the Rev. Mr. C.E. Pleasants, assisted by the Rev. Dr. W.W. Staley and the Rev.Mr. H.S. Hardcastle. A quartette, consisting of J.C. West, Mrs. Bertie Branch, Mrs. Randolph Chapman and W. Hatcher Eley, sang "Abide With Me" and "Asleep in Jesus." Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery. The active pallbearers were John Byrum, Eugene Wilkins, Preston Harrell, Fitzhugh Williams, Genie Lassiter, William Duke, W.S. Babb and Mr. Pierce.
