Wilson, 85, for many years a farmer in the Whaleyville section, died yesterday at 7 p.m., at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.D. Hobbs, at Tyner, N.C. The body was removed to the R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home. Services will be conducted there tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, pastor of the Cypress Chapel Christian Church, and the Rev. W.L. Lumpkin, pastor of the Holland Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Cypress Chapel Cemetery. He is survived by three daughters besides Mrs. Hobbs: Mrs. O.B. Spivey, Newport News; Mrs. R.L. Mathis, of Cumberland, Md., and Mrs. R.C. Byrd, of Holland. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Katie Jackson, of Plymouth, N.C., 12 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His wife died February 4.
