Death resulted from an illness of several months' duration. He was approximately 63 years of age. Funeral arrangements had not been completed early this afternoon. Surviving Mr. Wilkins are three daughters, Miss Ruth Wilkins and Mrs. Oscar Rountree of Cypress, and Mrs. Ernest Bains, of Norfolk; a brother, Jonas Wilkins, of Cypress; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ellis, of Holland and Mrs. Diana Gwynn, of Newport News; three great-grandchildren [sic] and several nieces and nephews. ****************************************************************************** MANSFIELD WILKINS Suffolk, Oct. 18 - Mansfield Wilkins, 69, a prominent farmer of Nansemond County, died at his home near Cypress Chapel Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock after an illness of several months. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Oscar Rountree and Miss Ruth Wilkins, of Cypress Chapel; Mrs. Ernest Baines, of Portsmouth; a brother, Jonas Wilkins, of Cypress Chapel; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Ellis, of Holland, and Mrs. Diana Gwynn, of Newport News; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Cypress Chapel Christian Church, conducted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
