A native of Norfolk County, she was the widow of James Morris Walker, Jr. She was a member of Berea United Church of Christ, Driver, and Churchland Woman’s Club. Survivors include two sons, James C. Walker of Portsmouth and G. Frank Walker of Nashua, N.H.; a sister, Helen C. Shelton of Chesapeake; two brothers, Abner T. Carney of Norfolk and Edgar F. Carney Jr. of San Francisco; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Churchland Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. James R. Cress. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence.
