Broad Street, conducted by the Rev. H.J. Goodwin, the Rev. J.G. Truitt, the Rev. E.C. Deans, and Dr. Sylvester Green, of Richmond, Virginia. A quartette composed of Mrs. W.A. Hart, Mrs. R.H. Jacobs, L.A. Harrison and R.B. Carr, accompanied by Mrs. C.R. Wallace, rendered the selections, "Asleep in Jesus" and "Abide with Me". A duet "Whispering Hope" was sung by Mrs. W.A. Hart and R.H. Jacobs. There were many handsome floral designs. The casket was covered with a pall of pink rosebuds and Ageratum and fern. There was a large attendance. Active pallbearers were Alton Howell, Henderson Hines, Elliott Hines, Ralph Hines, Charlie Smith, Stanley Johnson, Hunter Traylor, Bill Jines [sic; Hines]. The members of the Y.W.A. Society and members of the Junior G.A. Society were honorary escorts. Interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery.
