WALTERS DROPPED DEAD AT POST DUTY Suffolk, Va., September 13. - W.J. (Babe) Walters, about 48 years old, dropped dead today at the plant of the Virginia Manufacturing Company, where he was employed as a machinist. There was no warning of the end. Mr. Walters was seemingly in his usual health. He went to get a drink of water and was in the act of raising the cup when he fell over backwards. He died without speaking a word. The funeral arrangements had not been completed up to tonight. The deceased is survived by a widow, who was Miss Kate Lassiter; one daughter, Katharine; one adopted daughter, Hazel, and two brothers - J.J. Walters, of Portsmouth, and Bud Walters, of Raleigh. ****************************************************************************** Two Sudden Deaths. [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] Suffolk, Va.. September 13. - While taking a drink of water to-day, W.J. Walters. forty-eight years old, fell backward and expired without speaking. A widow, daughter and adopted daughter survive him. Mrs. Mollie Bradshaw, of Suffolk, died suddenly to-day, at the home of a son, L. Upshur Bradshaw, near Windsor. She is survived by three daughters and three sons.
