GEORGE KENNETH WILLIAMS 

   SUFFOLK - George Kenneth Williams, Sr., 82, died Sunday at 3 a.m. at 108 
N. Broad St. after an illness of one month.

   He was a native of Southampton County and a son of George W. Williams and 
Mrs. Georgianna Davis Williams of Southampton County.

   He was a former superintendent of Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co., and 
member of Oxford Methodist Church.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Viola Whitehead Williams; two daughter, 
Mrs. L.L. Doughty of Franklin and Mrs. Hugh C. Davis, Jr., of Suffolk; a son, 
George Kenneth Williams, Jr., of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. M.R. Bryant, Sr., of 
Courtland; a brother, Herbert L. Williams of Buchanan; and seven grandchildren.

   A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. 
Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. J.C. Weaver.  Burial was in Holly Lawn 
Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Cecil Gillette, Wesley T. Bryant, Allen T. Bryant, G. 
Russell Bryant, M.R. Bryant, Ryland Gillette, M.L. Whitehead and C.C. Jacocks.
