Wilroy of Portsmouth, died at the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Amos P. Pope of Drewryville, May 26, in her 42nd year. Mr. Wilroy died April 19, 1934, and Mrs. Wilroy had been spending a few weeks in Drewryville on a visit with relatives since the death of her husband. She was a native of Nansemond County [sic*], and is survived by three children, Misses Jessie and Frances Wilroy and John F. Wilroy, Jr. of Portsmouth; her mother, Mrs. Helen M. Brinkley of Nansemond County; one sister and five brothers. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the family burial plot in Cedar Hill Cemetery, conducted by Dr. I.W.
