A native of Nansemond County and the widow of George Lemuel Wright and a daughter of James Samuel and Almeda Frances Mitchell Corbitt of Gates County, N.C. [sic*], she was a member of Magnolia Methodist Church, its Wesley Bible Class and its Women's Society of Christian Service, and of Magnolia Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Daniel Brinkley and Mrs. Lee Brinkley of Cypress Chapel, Mrs. H.E. Owens Sr. of Magnolia, Mrs. Clyde L. Wise of Elkhart, Ind., and Mrs. Marion Jones of Norfolk; two sons, Percy Lemuel Wright of Gainesville, Fla., and George Wellons Wright Silver of Spring, Md.; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Babb of Suffolk; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home Thursday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. John F. Carroll Magnolia Methodist Church and the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Bethlehem Christian Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.E.
