Main St. died Friday at 2 a.m. in a hospital. A native of Gates County, N.C., she was a daughter of John and Mrs. Dora Forehand Saunders and the widow of James Winborne Ward. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Fedelis Bible Class and Women’s Missionary Union. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John J. West of Suffolk; two sons, James E. Ward of Suffolk and Charles M. Ward of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. T.C. Bright of Norfolk, Mrs. Berta S. Perry of Gatesville, N.C., and Mrs. Beatrice Swann of Houston, Tex.; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. K. Donald Berg. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will be at 930 E. Riverview Drive.
