Ward Dies Saturday Timothy Elder Ward Sr., 84, of 303 Causey Ave., died Saturday at 1 a.m. in Lakeside Nursing Home after an illness of several months. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in West End Baptist Church by the Rev. C. Bailey Jones, pastor, and the Rev. C. C. Blythe, pastor of Magnolia Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The body will be taken from Baker Funeral Home to the church one hour prior to the service. For the past several years he had been associated with Carter Furniture Store in Suffolk. He was the son of the late Anderson J. and Sarah Trotman Ward of Chowan County, N.C., and came to Suffolk in 1920 to make his home. He was a charter member of West End Baptist Church and the Progressive Men's Bible Class of the church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beulah Carter Ward of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Sarah Ward Carver of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons, Hiram O. Ward of Suffolk, Timothy E. Ward Jr. of Ahoskie and Gordon C. Ward of South Hardy Falls, Mass.; a brother, Dr. O.W. Ward of Phoebus; and a sister, Mrs. Blanch Ward Lamb of Elizabeth City, N.C. ****************************************************************************** Timothy Ward Buried Monday Funeral services for Timothy Elder Ward Sr. were conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in West End Baptist Church by the Rev.
