All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MINNIE POPE WORRELL Mrs. Minnie Pope Worrell, 64, well-known resident of the Carrsville community, died Sunday night, June 10*, in a Williamsburg hospital after many months of illness. She was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Mrs. Fannie Vick Pope of Southampton County and a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Luther Worrell of Richmond; one daughter, Mrs. Leo Bradshaw of Carrsville; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Abbie Stephenson of Capron; three brothers, John H. Pope of Carrsville, Willie Pope of Boykins, and Charlie Pope of Capron, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Beaver Dam Baptist Church with Rev. E.C. Thornton, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Elvin Whitley, Percy Whitley, R.L. Miles, D.C. Blythe, Howard Blythe, Sam Butler, Herman Butler and Jack Holland.
