I, {J. B. Ferebee}, a {Baptist Minister} 
of Pasquotank County, North Carolina, do herby verify that 
Mr. {Richard C. Luke} of {Suffolk Va} and 
Miss {Lizzie L. Nelms} of {Suffolk Va}
were united in Holy Matrimony, according to the Ordinance of 
God and the Laws of the State of North Carolina, at {my home} 
{Elizabeth City}, North Carolina, in the aforesaid County, 
on the {3rd} day of {August}, 19{11}.

Joseph McGrr Nelms and Elizabeth Jane 'Janie' Lufsey Nelms.
