     At a County Court held for the County of Nansemond 
         on the 11th day of March, 1901:
     On the motion of J. Walter Hosier Administrator of the Estate of John 
Shepherd, deceased, it is ordered that William J. Wiggins, Milton Spence, 
Joseph F. DeBerry, George W. Johnson and John D. Dickerson (any three of whom 
may act) being first duly sworn, do appraise the estate of said John Shepherd, 
deceased, and make report thereof according to law.

State of Virginia
County of Nansemond, to-wit:

     The undersigned William J. Wiggins, Milton Spence and J. D. Dickerson 
mentioned in the above order, this day appeared in person before the 
undersigned S. E. Everett a Notary Public for the County aforesaid, in the 
State of Virginia, and made oath that they would appraise the estate of John 
Shepherd, deceased to the best of their ability and make report thereof 
according to law.
