Harrower Cemetery Location: 15 miles from Lovingston, Virginia. Go 7 miles north on Route #29; thence northwest (left) 8 miles on Route #6. Graveyard is 300 yards from road on west (left) wide on a hill near site of “Castle Hill”. Nelson County, Virginia DATE: 1852. OWNERS: Nicholas Martin and his descendants. DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is on a hill not far from the house. It is well kept, with an iron fence around it. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: There is a large marble tombstone with the following inscriptions: Sacred to the memory of Jane J. late Consort of William Farrar who was born January 11, 1790 Died January 23, 1852 aged 62 years, 12 days. Blessed are they which do turn and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Math. 50, 6 & 8 verse.
