Cemetery Location:  5 miles east of Shipman, Va.  From Shipman, Virginia, go 4 
                    miles east on Route #56; thence south (right) 1 mile on 
                    Route #722.  On east (left) side of road.
                    Nelson County, Virginia

DESCRIPTION:

Nothing remains of the Liebrick home except one chimney, which is still 
standing.  

The graveyard is in an open field just back of where the old Liebrick Mansion 
stood.  There was formerly a high rock wall around the graves, but this has 
fallen down.  The place is overgrown with briars and weeds.  There are 10 or 
more graves, but only one has a marker.

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE:

One small marble headstone inscribed as follows:


Sacred to the memory of
Elizabeth Liebrick
who departed this life
January 23, 1824.
Age 48 years.
