Harrower Cemetery Location: 4 miles east of Shipman, Virginia on Route #56; thence 1.5 miles southwest on Route #722; graveyard on west side of road in pines, fifty yards from house. Nelson County, Virginia DATE: 1861. OWNERS: James W. Ligon and his descendants. DESCRIPTION: The graveyard is surrounded by a high stone wall and the graves are marked by tall stones. There is one large gray granite monument for the family.
