Harrower Cemetery Location: Go east from Shipman, Virginia 5 miles on Route #56; thence 4 miles northeast (left) on Route #646; thence 2 miles east (right) on Route #645 near intersection of Routes #645 and #644. Graveyard is on hill 200 yards on south (right) side of road #645. Nelson County, Virginia DATE: 1862. OWNERS: Sherwood Bowman and his descendants. DESCRIPTION: This old graveyard is in a grove of different kinds of trees not far from the dwelling house. There are about 20 graves unmarked. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: There is only one grave with an inscription, as follows: In Memory of Alexander R. Seay a member of Co.
