Thacker Cemetery Location: 1.5 mile west of Roseland, take Route #655 at Roseland Post Office, go .7 mile west on this route, cross Tye River by way of bridge, at this point take Route #56; go .4 mile west to intersection of farm road, which terminates at a farm house a short distance from highway #56; thence take a path which leads to south; go .4 mile on this path to summit of very high hill, burial ground is 75 yards west of small house which stands on this hill. Nelson County, Virginia DATE: 1853. OWNERS: The land on which this burial ground is located was owned at this period by Joseph Shelton. DESCRIPTION: Marble slab, 2 feet high and 15 inches wide.
