Harrower Cemetery Location: 1 mile above Buffalo, Virginia Nelson County, Virginia DATE: February 17, 1841 OWNERS: Frederick Cabell and descendants. DESCRIPTION: It is on a hill about one mile from Buffalo Station, just outside the yard of the Frederick Cabell home, and hard to find graveyard. HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: On a tall marble stone is the following inscription: In Memory of Kate W. daughter of G.H. and F.M. Cabell Born January 6, 1847 Died October 24, 1851 Relentless death each purer form profanes, Round all that’s fair his dismal arms he throws, Light lie the earth that shrouds thy loved remains, and softly sleeping may they find repose. Sue Taylor Cabell September 7, 1860 May 18, 1871 Frederick C. Cabell Died February 17, 1841 Frederick M. Cabell December 15, 1802 March 2, 1872 There are six other graves but no markers.
