Bonds & Nelson Monroe, are held and firmly bonded unto the Commonwealth of Virginia in the just and full sum of Three Hundred Dollars current Money to which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly ad severalty, firmly by these present. Sealed with our seals and dated this 22nd day of February, 1847. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the said Elizabeth Monroe, Administratrx of the goods Chattels and credits of George Monroe deceased. do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular, the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands, possessions or knowledge of the said Elizabeth Monroe or into the hands or possessions of any other person or persons for her, and the same do made, do exhibit into the court of Nelson County when he shall be thereunto requested by the said court, and such goods, chattels and credits do well and truly administer according to law, and further do make a True accounting of her actings and doings therein when thereunto required by the said court and all the rest of the said goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the account of the said Administratrx, the same being first examined and allowed by the Justices of the said court for the time being shall deliver and pay unto such persons respectively as are entitled to the same by law, and if it shall hereafter appear that any last will was made by the said deceased and the same to be proved in court and the executor obtain a certificate of the probate thereof and the said Elizabeth Monroe do in said case being required, render and deliver up her letters of administration then the above obligation to be void, or else to remain in full force and virtue. her Elizabeth X Monroe (seal) mark William S Bonds (seal) Nelson Monroe (seal) testee S Garland At a court held for Nelson County, the 22nd day of February 1847.
