     This contract made and entered into this 7th day of December, 1905, by and between
R. T. Anderson and L. M. Anderson, his wife, of Nelson County, Va. parties of the first part,
and John H. Heald & Co. Inc. of Lynchburg, Va. party of the second part.  Witnesseth:

     1st:  That for and in the consideration of the sum of One hundred and seventy
($170.00) Dollars, receipt whereof the parties of the first part hereby acknowledge, said
parties of the first part do hereby sell to the party of the second part:

	(a)  All the chestnut timber, alive or dead, standing or fallen, on the tract
	      of land of 266 acres, more or less, known as the Damron Place, situated
	      in Nelson County, Va., and bounded by the lands of Ellen F. Kidd, 
	      J. E. Powell and others:  And

	(b)  All the chestnut timber, alive or dead, standing or fallen, on that part 
	      of the tract of 112 acres, more or less, known as the Home Place, lying
	      on the east side of a branch emptying into Rockfish River at the point
	      near two large apple trees, in the lower end of the Big Bottom, and the
	      old chestnut trees on said tract, standing northwest of the dwelling of
	      the said parties of the first part, along the Dutch Creek Road; said tract
	      is situated in Nelson County, Va. and bounded by the lands of J. W. Harris,
	      V. Hamilton and others.

     2nd:  The party of the second part, its successors or assigns, shall have the right to
cut and remove the said timber, at its convenience, at any time prior to Dec. 31, 1911,
and for this purpose shall have the right of ingress and egress over the said lands of the
parties of the 1st part, but no hauling is to be done through growing crops, nor through
the open lands in wet weather, and in the exercise of said right of ingress and egress, the
party of the second part is to keep the gates closed and the fences up.
