DEED: Francis J. Campbell Deed of Trust, 1853 SOURCE: Nelson County Deed Book 13, Page 566 CONTRIBUTOR: Sylvia Ray ----------------------------------------------------------- This Indenture made this 2nd day of August 1853 between Francis J. Campbell of the first part, and Charles N. Patterson of the other part, witnesseth that the said Francis J. Campbell doth grant unto the said Charles N. Patterson the following property to wit: all the said Francis J. Campbell's interest both real and personal in the trust estate belonging to Francis and Nancy Campbell, one black mare and future increase, his growing crop of tobacco, four head of cattle, and stock of hogs. In trust to secure a debt due to Floyd L. Whitehead, agent to, for the sum of eighty five dollars and seventy cents with interest thereon from the 1st day of September 1852 and to Floyd L. Whitehead, agent, twenty dollars and 39 cents interest from 1 September 1852. Witness the following signatures and seals. Francis J. Campbell {seal} and to Floyd L. Campbell whose name is signed to the writing within bearing date the 2nd day of August 1853 has acknowledged the same before me in my County aforesaid.
