Deed - John & Frances Bailey, Samuel S. & Fanny Perkins and Samuel Anderson. SOURCE: Nelson Co. Deed Book 1, page 404 This is a Deed between John & Frances Bailey, Samuel S. & Fanny Perkins and Samuel Anderson. This Indenture made the twenty second day of February, 1812, between John Bailey and Frances his wife and several (unreadable) of the one part and Samuel S. Perkins & Fanny his wife of the other part, witnesseth that the said John Bailey and wife and Samuel Anderson for an in consideration of the sum of 40 dollars paid to them in hand have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Samuel Perkins and Fanny his wife and to their heirs or assigners forever one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being on the waters of Hickory Creek in Nelson Co. and containing by a late survey forty acres more or less and bounded as follows (various surveying measurements listed) To have to to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land to the said Samuel Perkins and Fanny his wife and their heirs forever and the said John Bailey and Frances his wife & Samuel Anderson for themselves and their heirs doth conversant with the said Samuel Perkins and Frances his wife and their heirs that the said John Bailey and Frances his wife, and Samuel Anderson and their heirs aforesaid tract of land together with all and (?) the apurtenances thereto belonging to the said John Bailey and Frances his wife and Samuel Anderson their heirs and assignees shall and will warrant and forever defend.
