Deed - Lois M. Damron Anderson These deeds are between Lois M. Damron Anderson and her nephews Elisha D. Currier and Eddy A. Currier in settlement of the estate of Leland Damron who was the father of Lois Anderson and Isabella Currier. Isabella Damron Currier and her husband, Jacob Currier are deceased at time of deeds. SOURCE: Nelson County Deed Book 27, page 358 (Deed between Lois M. Anderson & Elisha D. Currier) This Deed made and entered into this the 28th day of April, 1890, between Elisha D. Currier of the one part and Lois M. Anderson of the other part. All of the State of Virginia, Witnesseth: That the said Elisha D. Currier had this day and by these presents bargained and sold and hereby grants and conveys unto the said Lois M. Anderson, all of his undivided interest in the real and personal estate of his grand father's estate (viz: the late Leland Damron, dec'd.) including all bonds, rents, profits, issues etc. arising and coming to him the said Elisha D. Currier as a distributee in the real and personal estate of Leland Damron dec'd. And for and in consideration of all the premises and grants herein conveyed, the said Lois M. Anderson agrees to pay the said Elisha D. Currier the sum of Twenty Dollars, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged as paid to the said Elisha D. Currier before the sealing and delivery of this deed to the said Lois M. Anderson and the said Elisha D. Currier conversants and agrees to warrant generally the right, title and claim to all the property hereby conveyed against the claim or claims of any person or persons claiming title under him. And the said Elisha D. Currier also agrees and binds himself to forever acquit and discharge the administrator of the said Leland Damron dec'd. from any claim or claims that he may have against said administrator. Harvey, a Notary Public for the city aforesaid in the State of Virginia, do certify that Elisha D. Currier, whose name is signed to the writing annexed bearing date on the 28th day of April 1890 personally appeared before me in my city aforesaid and acknowledged the same. Currier, who is a son of Jacob Currier and Isabella Currier, his wife, who was a daughter of Leland Damron, dec'd. is entitled by law to one-third of his mother's undivided interest in the real and personal estate of Leland Damron dec'd. has this and by these presents bargained and sold to Lois M. Anderson all his right, title and interest in the undivided real and personal estate of the said Leland Damron, dec'd. Therefore this deed made and entered into this 26th day of August, 1896, between the said Eddy A. Currier of the one part and Lois M. Anderson of the other part, all of the County of Nelson and State of Virginia, Witnesseth: That for and in consideration of Twenty Dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, the said Eddy A. Currier doth grant and convey unto the said Lois M. Anderson all of his right, title and interest in the undivided real and personal estate of Leland Damron, dec'd. including money, rents, debts etc. due said Leland Damron's estate, as well as every other specie of property.
