Deed between Robert T. Anderson & wife, Lois M. Damron Anderson and 
William A. Moses.

This deed made this the 8th day of May, in the year 1896, between 
R. T. Anderson and Lois M. Anderson his wife, of the first part, and 
William A. Moses of the second part, all of Nelson Co., Va. Witnesseth:  
That the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the 
sum of two hundred and fifty dollars, in hand paid, do grant, bargain 
and sell unto the said party of the second part the following tract or 
parcel of land lying in Nelson County, Va., near Rockfish Depot on 
Rockfish River, to wit:  A lot with a log house therein adjoining the 
land of William H. Thurmond and Mrs. S. F. Thurmond and others, containing 
twelve acres, more or less and is more particularly descended by meter and 
bounds in a deed from the Commonwealth, to said party of the first part, 
to which reference is hereby made.  And the said parties of the first part 
warrant generally the property hereby conveyed.
   Witness the following signatures and seals this the day and year 
aforesaid.

     I, L S. Farrar, a Notary in the County and State aforesaid, do 
certify that R. T. Anderson and Lois M. Anderson his wife, whose names 
are signed to the annexed deed, bearing date on the 8th of May 1896, 
presonally appeared before me in my County aforesaid, and acknowledged 
the same to be their act and deed.  Given under my hand this the 9th day 
of May 1896.

     In the Clerk's office of Nelson County Court, the 11th Aughst 1896.  
This deed was this day received in said office, duly certified by a 
Notary Public, and admitted to record.
