This Deed made this the 12th day of April 1855 between John F. Camden of Nelson 
County of the first part, and John S. Camden of Amherst County of the second part, 
witnesseth that the said John F. Camden hath for and in consideration of the sum 
of two hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt of which is 
hereby acknowledged, bargained, granted and sold to the said John S. Camden, his 
heirs and his assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of 
Nelson, State of Virginia, on the waters of the North fork of Piney River and 
bounded as follows to wit:  Beginning at a chestnut and red oak in the line of 
said John F. Camden on the side of a ridge, thence N13 W40 poles to pointers on 
top of the ridge, thence along on top of ridge N16 E60 poles to pointers N2 W108 
poles to pointers, leaving the ridge N70 E28 poles to pointers S60 E24 poles to a 
chestnut oak S75 E73 poles to a hickory due south 38 poles to pointers S50 E20 
poles to a chestnut oak S 36 W28 poles to a chestnut oak N84 W32 poles to pointers 
S4 W120 poles to pointers in said John F. Camden's line, thence with his line N41 
W72 poles to a spanish oak S49 W40 poles to a chestnut oak S2 E20 poles to a 
chestnut oak S34 W5 poles to the beginning,  Witness the following and signatures 
and seal.

Amherst County, to wit:
I, John C. Whitehead, a Justice of the Peace for the County aforesaid in the State 
of Virginia, do certify that John F. Camden whose name is signed to the writing 
above, bearing date on the 12th day of April 1855, has acknowledged the same before 
me in my County aforesaid, given under my hand this 12th  day of April 1755.

In the Clerk's Office of Nelson County Court April 28th  1855.
This Deed was returned duly certified by a Justice of the Peace for the County of 
Amherst and admitted to record.
