DEED: Calvin R. Camden, 1856 SOURCE: Nelson County Deed Book 15, Page 78 CONTRIBUTOR: Sylvia Ray ------------------------------------------------------------ This Indenture made and entered into this 20th day of September 1856 between Calvin R. Camden of the County of Amherst of the one part, and Daniel L. Wright of the County of Nelson of the other part, witnesseth that the said Calvin R. Camden for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five dollars to him in hand paid by the said Daniel L. Wright before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained, sold and delivered to him the said Daniel L. Wright a certain tract or parcel of land it being my interest as a legatee to the estate of my deceased father, Benjamin Camden, which is one fourth of a tract of land lying and situated in the County of Nelson on the waters of Mayfield's Creek or branch as it is called, bounded by a survey on the West heretofore belonging to Jesse Wright (deceased), at the present by Washington Campbell's land on the East, and John F. Camden and others on the North, on the lines of said Wright and William W. Waller (deceased) on the South, with all and singular its appurtenances the said Calvin R. Camden for said interest in said land for himself, his heirs and assigns, release by this bargain and confirm to said Daniel L. Wright and his assigns forever without molestation or the least hindrance from all persons whomsoever, the said C. R. Camden binds himself the right ever to defend, also all of his legal representatives. Given under my hand and seal the day and year above written. Calvin R. Coleman, a Justice of the Peace within and for the County of Amherst duly authorized to take acknowledgments, and acknowledged the foregoing deed to be his act and deed for the purposes thus mentioned.
