DEED: Francis Campbell Deed of Trust SOURCE: Nelson County Deed Book 15, Page 4 CONTRIBUTOR: Sylvia Ray --------------------------------------------------------------- This Indenture made this (no entry) day of (no entry) Eighteen hundred and six between Francis Campbell of the County of Nelson of the one part, and John Masters of the said County of the other part, witnesseth that the said Francis for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said John, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold and doth by these presents bargain, sell, alien and enfeoff one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Nelson on Elk Creek containing by survey two hundred acres of land, be the same more or less, and bounded as follow, to wit: Beginning at a sicamore on Elk Creek and runing thence new lines N40 W15 poles to a chestnut, N25 W74 poles to a forked chestnut, N6 E21 poles to a chestnut, N6 W24 poles to a chestnut oak in the old lines, thence with them N60 W62 poles to a chestnut, S77 W98 poles to a chestnut, S40 W16 poles to pointers, S29-1/2 W15 poles to pointers, S44 E6 poles to a fallen down chestnut corner of Thomas Phillips and with his line S36 E138 to a fallen down chestnut, then new lines S30 W38 poles to pointers, S32 E27 poles to a chestnut oak, S3 E62 to a black oak, S31 E40 poles to a poplar stump in John Masters line, with his line N77 E30 poles to a white oak fallen down on Elk Creek, thence up the same N20 poles to a white oak thence leaving the Creek N83 W93 poles to a chestnut, N82 E62 poles to a chestnut, N77 W62 poles to a red oak and S60 E40 poles to the first station. To have and to hold the said land and premises with all its hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said John Masters and his heirs forever and the said Francis Campbell doth for himself and his heirs, forever warrant a good and sufficient tile in fee simple in and to the said land and premises to the said John Masters and his heirs against all persons claiming whatsoever.
