DEED: Daniel M. Harris to Sarah Harris SOURCE: Nelson Co., VA Deed Book 16, Page 200 CONTRIBUTOR: Sylvia Ray ---------------------------------------------------------- This deed made the fourth day of June in the year eighteen hundred and sixty three between Daniel M. Harris of the one part and Sarah Harris of the other part, witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of ten dollars in hand paid by the said Sarah Harris and of the natural love and affection which the said Daniel M. Harris bears to his sister the said Sarah Harris, he the said Daniel M. Harris doth grant and give to the said Sarah Harris all the following real and personal estate, to wit: all his lands lying in the County of Nelson on which he resides adjoining the lands of Joshua Bailey, Benjamin George Harris, Thomas Graves, and others containing between five and seven hundred acres, also all other lands owned by him jointly with others whether in possession remainder, also the following slaves to wit: Mahala, John, Winston, Martha, Paulina, Washington, Rachael, Billy, Howard and Parker, and the increase of the females, three head of horses and stock of cattle, sheep, and hogs, and all his household and kitchen furniture and plantation tools and utensils and also all interests in remainder in any real or personal estate to which he is entitled and may become possessed of under the will of Nathan Harris, deceased, and the said Daniel M. Harris covenants to warrant generally the premises and property herein before given and granted. Witness the following signature and seal. Three words of this deed made Daniel M.
