Coleman to James Napoleon Truslow, 1899 Source: Nelson County, Deed Book No. 28, page 408 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS DEED, Made and entered into this 14th day of October, 1896, between John W. Fortune and M. E. Fortune, his wife, and J. T. Coleman, of the first part, and J. N. Truslow of the second part; WHEREAS On the 30th day on November, 1889, the said John W. Fortune sold to the said J. N. Truslow that certain lot of parcel of land, together with its appurtenances and buildings, on Spruce Creek in Nelson County, Virginia, whereon the said J. N. Truslow now resided, containing seven (7) acres more or less and sometimes called the "Deer Lick", for the sum of Thirty-four dollars and ninety-eight cents ($34.98), payable in three installments of Eleven dollars and sixty-six cents ($11.66) each, on the 1st day of December, 1890, 1891 and 1892, respectively, all the interest from the said 30th day of November, 1889, which said installments have all been paid to the said John W. Fortune, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, and WHEREAS Dr. H. N. Coleman in his lifetime laid claim to the said lot or parcel of land, and his right, title and interest to and in the same were sold under decree of the Circuit Court of Nelson County, at which sale the said J. T. Coleman become the purchaser thereof, and WHEREAS The said J. T. Coleman is willing to relinquish, and unite in this deed for the purpose of relinquishing, to the said J. N. Truslow whatever claim or right he may have to the said lot or parcel of land by reason of the aforesaid purchase by him, the said Coleman: NOW THEREFORE THIS DEED WITHESSETH: That the said parties of the first part do grant, sell and convey unto the said J.
