Know Ye that by virtue of a land office treasury warrant number two thousand eight hundred and ten enforced the fourteenth day of November seventeen hundred and ninety-nine, there is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Edmond Coffey a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred acres by survey bearing date the twentieth day of May eighteen hundred lying and being in the County of Amherst on the Fork mountain and on the branches of the North fork of Tye River, and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at pointers, thence new lines North twenty-five degrees East forty-three poles to a red oak, North seventy-three degrees West thirty-one poles to a gum North forty-seven degrees West seventy-six poles to a hickory South sixty-nine degrees West one hundred and twenty poles to pointers, South eighty-four degrees West eighty-eight poles to a hickory, South fifteen degrees West seventy-two poles to a hickory, South forty-four degrees East one hundred and four poles to pointers in Thomas Doswell's line and with his lines and North forty degrees East nineteen poles to a hickory South twenty-nine degrees East forty-eight poles to a white oak, thence new lines North fifty-five degrees East one hundred and fifty-three poles to a Spanish oak and North sixty four degrees East sixty poles to the beginning with its appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenance to the said Edmond Coffey and his heirs forever, In witness whereof the said James Monroe Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his hand and caused the lesser seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond, on the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one and of the commonwealth the twenty sixth James Monroe Delivered to Mr. D.
