She was the wife of John Trusler born 1758. State of Ohio, Union County On this 9th day of April 1853 personally appeared before the Probate Court of the County of Union State of Ohio Elizabeth Trusler, a resident of Union County and state of Ohio aged 78 years who just being duly sworn according to law, doth in her oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefits of the provisions made by the act of Congress passed on the 3rd day of February A. D. 1853 granting pensions to widows of persons who served during the Revolutionary war, that she is the widow of John Trusler who was a private in the Revolutionary war, and who was at the time of his death, which took place at the County of Union State of Ohio on the 16th day of August 1838 drew a pension of thirty 30.00 dollars a year, on account of his said service under the act of Congress passed June 17, 1832 that her said husband drew his pension at Cincinnati Ohio. She further declares that she was married to the said John Trusler at Amherst County State of Virginia on the 22nd day of April A. D. 1803 by one Wm. Crawford a preacher, that her said husband died a pensioner, that she was not married to him prior to the 2nd day of January A. D. 1800 but at the time above stated she further declares that she is now a widow. her Elizabeth X Trusler Mark Sworn to and subscribed on this 9th day of April A.
