NELSON COUNTY, VA - OBITUARIES - Mamie (Fitzgerald) Breeden, 17 Dec 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Source: The Daily Progress, Thursday, December 18, 2003 Mamie Fitzgerald Breeden, 71, of Orange, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at Orange County Nursing Home. Born May 27, 1932, in Nelson County, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Sallie Lawhorne Fitgerald. She was a homemaker and elder of Orange Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Earle L. Breeden of Orange; two daughters, Pamela Golas and husband, James, of Orange, and Patricia Breeden of Edinburg, Va.; a son, Paul Breeden and wife, Chihiro, of Louisa, Va.; two brothers, Ralph Fitzgerald of North Carolina and Richard Fitzgerald of Culpeper, Va.; four sisters, Marian Eadie of Portland, Ore., Shirley Collins of Brentsville, Va., Virginia Terry of Fredericksburg, Va., and Barbara Merchant of Manassas, Va.; and two grandchildren, Darron and Emily Breeden. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Orange Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bill Nickels officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Cannon Branch Cemetery in Manassas, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Childrens Home of the Highlands, P.O. Box 545, Wytheville, VA 24382. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
