Alice Kathleen "Kathy" Story Brent, 63, of 186 Farmers Joy Lane, Arrington, 
died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at The Duke University Medical Center. She was 
the wife of W. Kent Brent.
Born April 15, 1940, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Nellie Camden Story 
of Lynchburg, and the late Hamner Brown Story. Kathy was retired from G.E./ 
Ericsson and was a member of Westview Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, William 
Kent Brent Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Christine Adams of Lynchburg; and 
a special niece, Cindy Warren of Bailey, Colo.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at 
Whitten Monelison Chapel, by the Rev. John Ragland. Interment will follow in 
the Brent Family Cemetery, Farmers Joy Lane.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home 
and other times at the residence.
