	Margaret Katie Powell Brogan, age 78 of River Road, Faber died 
Saturday Morning January 3, 2004 at her residence.
	Born Sept. 6, 1925 in Nelson County (Davis Creek Community) a daughter 
of the late Frank Powell and Lillian Perry Powell. She was the widow of Cecil 
William (C.W.) Brogan, Jr. who died on May 17, 1997. She was a member of Adial 
Baptist Church and a devoted homemaker to her husband and children.  Besides 
her husband she was preceded in death by her son Gary Lee Brogan on June 24, 
2001.
	She is survived by her son C.W. Brogan and wife Anna of Faber, her 
daughters: Dianne Davis and husband Ron and Joyce Vance and husband Sidney all 
of Ruckersville. Five grandchildren: Wayne Lawhorne and wife Rhonda. Missy 
Brads and husband Chris, Stacy B. Smith and husband Brian, Paul Brogan and 
Miranda Brogan.
	She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Lawhorne 
and a special friend Roy Armstrong.
	A funeral service will be held Tuesday January 6, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at 
Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Rev. Jim Bushong officiating 
with Interment in the Oak Hill Cemetery near Lovingston. The family will 
receive friends Monday from 7-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
