Obituary: Mary Jane (Busch) Beverley, died Sept. 3, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, September 4, 2002 Contributor: Charlie Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------- Mary Jane Beverley, 89, of Charlottesville, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, in Charlottesville. Mrs. Beverley was born Oct. 12, 1912, in Bay City, Mich., the daughter of the late Dr. Frank L. and Mae Kennedy Busch. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Beverley was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She was a charter member of Hunting Creek Garden Club of Alexandria and a former member of the Virginia Federation of Garden Clubs; Monticello Garden Club in Charlottesville; Little Garden Club and Old Frederick Garden Club of Winchester. She was a graduate of Bay City Business College and the University of Michigan. Mrs. Beverley married Richard H.C. Beverley on Sept. 28, 1935, in Alexandria. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Judith Beverley Juergens of Wintergreen and Nellysford (Nelson County); two sons, Richard F.C. Beverley III of Nashville, Tenn. and Robert L. Beverley of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, in Winchester. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Michael Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Beverley, Chris Juergens, Tim Juergens, and Scott Juergens. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary Jane Beverley to a charity of your choice.
