Obituary: Mary (Anderson) Breeden, Age 59, born Sept. 21, 1933, died July 20, 1993 Published: Unknown Newspaper Contributor: Dennis Truslow ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WEYERS CAVE - Mrs. Mary "Cris" Breeden, 59, a resident of 527 South Mason St., Harrisonburg, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday (July 20, 1993) at the home of her son in Weyers Cave. She was born Sept. 21, 1933, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Herman and Halsey Truslow Anderson. She was educated in Nelson County. She moved to Verona at the age of 16, where she lived most of her life. She moved to Harrisonburg 12 years ago. Mrs. Breeden worked at the Westinghouse cafeteria in Verona for 14 years and was nurse's aide at Sunnyside Presbyterian Home for the past 12 years. She formerly attended the Verona Full Gospel Church. Surviving are two children, Mervin H. Crowe of Weyers Cave and Twila Showalter of Penn Laird; five grandchildren; four sisters, Gwen Honnell of Waynesboro, Juanita Orman of Afton, Eunice Smith of Mechanicsville and Elvery Hutchingson of Orange; one brother, Jean Anderson of Afton; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the chapel of the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl F. East. Burial will follow in the Middle River Church of the Brethren Cemetery in New Hope. Her body now rests at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home where members of the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Friends may also call at the home of her son, Mervin H.
