Obituary: Richard Nolan Brown, 2002 Source: The Daily Progress, Oct 31, 2002 Contributor: Dennis Truslow ----------------------------------------------------------------- Richard Nolan Brown, 71, of Wintergreen, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2002, as a result of an auto accident. An avid golfer and skier, he was the outgoing president of the BOOG'S, a board member of the Wintergreen Fire Department and an active member of the Wintergreen Nature Foundation. A kind and generous man, he reminded us all how important it is to take time to "have fun." He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Fiore Brown; one son; three daughters; three step daughters; three grandchildren; and five step-grand- children. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Wintergreen Commonwealth Ballroom, Wintergreen. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wintergreen Rescue Squad, the Wintergreen Fire Department or the Wintergreen Nature Foundation. Reynolds Funeral Service and Crematory of Waynesboro is in charge of arrangements.
