MRS. JAMES N. BROWN
  SCOTTSVILLE -- Mrs. Emma Lee Brown, 83, of Glenmore died last night at the 
home of her son, Elliot S. Brown of Schuyler.  A native of Buckingham County, 
she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Henrietta Ragland, and was the 
widow of James N. Brown.
  Besides her son, she leaves two other sons, Walter E. Brown of Schuyler, 
and Obed O. Brown of Falls Church; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Ponton of Schuyler; 
two sisters, Mrs. Connie Londeroe of Howardsville, And Mrs. Pearl Keeler of 
Middletown; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow from Bethel Methodist 
Church at Glenmore.  Burial will be in the family cemetery near Glenmore.
